New album out now
With his debut album Soul For Sale, JesperJesper takes the next step in his musical career. As a drummer, he toured extensively through Europe with the rock bands Paceshifters, Mozes and the Firstborn, and the Australian Wolfmother. On top of that, he still found the time to write his own alt-country album as a singer/guitarist. The lyrics are personal, strengthened by the beautiful harmonies of vocalist/bassist Aimee Magsino. Across the entire record, the pedal steel adds to the melancholic atmosphere. Everything was composed and written by Jesper himself, but the interplay of the four-piece band takes center stage, giving the album a wonderfully effortless live feel. All of this makes it the perfect record for a long summer drive.
The album was recorded in the summer of 2024 in the countryside at Cabin Down Below Studio and contains 11 tracks that subtly blend alt-country and ’90s indie rock. Influences from artists like MJ Lenderman, Kurt Vile, and Neil Young are subtly present. After his first EP Keep An Eye Out (2023), Soul For Sale is a delightful debut that’s guaranteed to be on repeat.
